For new students it promises to be one of the busiest few weeks of your life, possibly moving into new accommodation, enrolling on your course, meeting new people and finding your feet as a new student in Liverpool.
Those returning will probably still have a hectic weeks with moving accommodation, living with new people and getting ready for new modules. Whatever your situation Welcome Week aims to kick start your year in the best possible way!
This year there is lots happening during Welcome Week from Welcome Fairs during the day and events in the evening:
New to LJMU? Have a chance to attend The Welcome Festival, 2 weeks packed full of fantastic events for new students. Organised by Liverpool Students' Union (LSU) the ever popular Welcome fest wristbands guarantees you entry into the biggest and best student night as well as LSU discounts

Not only do we have the welcome festival we have a range of Welcome Fairs and talks as a chance for all students to come and see what the LSU does as well as getting a few freebies along the way!
Welcome Fairs
Monday 13 September – LSU Showcase and Student Groups Fair @ The Haigh Building: 11am-4pm (dedicated early disabled access 10am-11am). Find out all about what LSU has to offer and how to get involved, join clubs, societies or sports teams, buy your NUS Extra card and much more.
Tuesday 14 September – Welcome Fair 1 @ The Haigh Building 11am-5pm (dedicated early disabled access 10am-11am) – This is a great opportunity to meet external organisations and pick up lots of freebies, Liverpool’s best bars, clubs, retailers all exhibit alongside LSU
Wednesday 15 September – Welcome Fair 2 @ The Haigh Building 11am-5pm (dedicated early disabled access 10am-11am) - Second day of the commercial fair.
Thursday 16 September - LSU Showcase and Student Groups Fair @ The Haigh Building: 11am-4pm (dedicated early disabled access 10am-11am). Find out all about what LSU has to offer and how to get involved, join clubs, societies or sports teams, buy your NUS Extra card and much more.
Friday 17 September – Volunteering and Charities Fair @ The Haigh Building 11am-4pm (dedicated early disabled access 10am-11am).
Friday 17 September - IM Marsh Welcome Fair @ IM Marsh Student Centre 11am-3pm
The Haigh Building is located behind the Aldham Robarts library on Maryland Street.
