The Looprevil Press.

 

Liverpool’s only student newspaper has now been active for a little over nine months. Launching in late September 2008, we have worked hard to create a community, not only amongst the student population but also within the team. The team have become close and now produce high quality work due to a good working relationship.

One of our major aims is to create a dynamic portal of rich information for the students of Liverpool. We want to create a place students can come to when they want to know about anything student related not only in LJMU but eventually in all of Liverpool. The Looprevil Press has the following goals:

  • To create an opportunity for students to showcase their writing skills, photography, design skills etc. and to give our members some degree of journalistic experience that would prove to be highly valuable in the working world.
  • To create a strong sense of community amongst the students of Liverpool. We hope to bring students together by creating a forum of debate on various topics of interest. To produce relevant and effective news with flair, verve and vitality. To create a website with the latest advancements in online technology in order to extend our services to the widest population of students possible.
  • To embrace the quirkiness factor of students and use that to relate with them.
  • To provide a platform for societies to reach their intended targets from.

We here at The Looprevil Press have a strong sense of duality. This stems from us being students and striving to be professionals as well. We try and bring that mirrored reasoning to the front and because of this we are able to relate better with our readers.
