Welcome to the LJMU Motorsports Society
The Motorsport Society is run by engineering students based at the Byrom Street campus. We have a keen interest in all motorsport events including Formula 1, WRC Rally and Super Cross. We are like minded people who plan to attend regular socials and events. Once a month we plan to attend driver training days which involve trips to local karting tracks to compete against one another.
The purpose of the driver training days are to improve race experience and skill. The University enter into the prestigious Formula Student event at Silverstone. We enter a single seater race car and the drivers maybe considered from the driver training days.
The University entered into the Formula Student event 2009 and came first in class 2.
Membership to the Motorsports Society is free however you will be required to pay the £5.00 Federation Fee to the Liverpool Students Union. To join the Motorsports Society please click here
