GOATing
Have you been GOATed by LSU this week?
Did you know: GOATing stands for "Go out and talk" to students? Well, you do now!
We regularly spend time GOATing students. We do this because we value the importance of the student opinion. At the end of the day, Liverpool Students' Union exists to cater for it's members - you, the students. If something is wrong, then we want to know about it. By GOATing students, we can find out what problems students are facing and work to combat them, where possible.
Liverpool Students Union GOATed 9,000 students last year - were you one of them?

By going out and speaking to students, we can find out what matters most to them; it may be fees, accommodation or anything. We believe that it is important to GOAT so that we know exactly what students think. This enables us to plan out campaigns each year.
The image to the left shows Lily Rumsey, Liverpool Students' Union President 2010/11, during the "I demand a National Bursary Scheme." - this campaign was brought about because discussions were being held to lower the amount of bursary that Liverpool John Moores students receive. Here at Liverpool Students' Union, we picked up on the concerns of students' and decided to act on them; calling for a National Bursary scheme which has been championed by the National Union of Students'.
