Meet your Barkhill Court Hall Reps right here...

Harry - President
Hey Everyone! I'm Harry aka Big H! I think I’ll be a good president of the Legendary Barkhill Court because I’m just me! By making me president I shall ensure that this year is the greatest year of our lives! If made president I will make sure that each one of you Barkhill Legends will never forget the year of Barkhill Court!

Matt - Sports Rep

My name is Matt Walker and I am looking to become the hall rep for sports at Barkhill Court. I am studying Secondary Physical Education: PE Sport and Dance with QTS. I am originally from Doncaster and moved here to lovely Liverpool for a number of reasons one of which is the amazing nightlife! I would really like to be the sports rep because I really feel like I've already got a lot of good friends here at Barkhill Court and feel that I could bring many ideas that would benefit these friends at Barkhill. I am definitely a team player and I feel that I could work very well with Doreen in the bar and other hall reps in order to make a better social life for us guys at Barkhill Court whilst improving sporting access to the students/occupants of the flats!. I have several good ideas and one of these is monthly competitions held at Barkhill on the fields where by people pay to enter a team and half goes to charity whilst the half goes to the wining team! By doing this not only would it encourage people to take part physical activity it would also help bring people into the bar at I M Marsh and give Doreen more custom. As a physical education student I am very passionate about people enjoying and taking part in physical education and if I get this position I can then encourage and work towards inclusion for all people on Barkhill by getting their views on what sport is and then catering for them to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to take part in sport should they wish to. If I become the Sports rep I will definitely be working closely with the activities rep to make sure that everyone is catered for and whilst I will take care of the sport side activities will help organise this and help organise the social afterwards! I am a very approachable person and feel that people can come and talk to me about things that they want or would like to see happening with regards to sport. I enjoy taking on position of responsibilities and organisation and I would really like to use this as an opportunity to further my skills and get to know more people than I already know at Barkhill.

Zoe - Events Rep
My name is Zoe Chesterman and I am looking to become the hall rep for activities at Barkhill Court. I am studying Primary Education with French, and come from a little town in Shropshire! I would really like to be the activities rep because I really feel like I've already got a lot of good ideas. I have been speaking to Doreen in the bar at IM Marsh and she has asked me to help her to organise a few things because she is struggling to do it all herself. She has come up with a lot of ideas such as an Irish Night, Blind Dates, Toga Night, and events such as a Christmas party for the elderly people in the homes around the area to try and get the community involved. I have said that I will help her with this regardless of whether or not I get the rep position. If I become the activities rep I would definitely like to work closely with the community reps in order to organise activities not only for the students, but for people around the local area. I think this would benefit both the students and the local people, and also hopefully bring more money in. I think I'm quite approachable, so people would be able to come to me with ideas and issues.
