Clubs and Societies
What they are how to join?
Liverpool SU has many different sports clubs and societies to offer you. The sports teams regularly compete across on Wednesday afternoons within the BUCS (British University and Colleges Sport) League. Societies are groups of students who essentially share the same interests or hobbies; each society has a different purpose and meeting schedule, but they all provide great opportunities to learn new skills and are all run by students for students.
Being part of a team or society gives you the opportunity to regularly train, rehearse and/or take part in events, such as social events, charity events, fundraising events and more.
Fancy getting involved?
Well… with so many clubs and societies to choose from it could not be easier. From Zumba to Cheerleading and Irish Dancing and from American Football to Rowing, we certainly have something that will suit you.
Clubs and societies are a really fun way to meet new people outside of your course and accommodation and whether you are a keen pro, or it’s something you have never tried before, now is the perfect time to get involved.
How to join?
You can join a team and/or society at any point throughout the year. Have a look at our club and society list and contact the committee members the team you want to join. Or why not come up to the office in the Students Union, and they will provide you will all you need to join. Running a club or society
To help anyone who wants to setup a new society and run an existing one the Union has set procedures and forms that should be used at all times. Information on booking vehicles and requesting coches for competitions can also be done by contacting the student group co-ordinators Ben and Laura.
