LSU is a dynamic, exciting and challenging organisation. We are the independent body representing the 23,000 diverse students at Liverpool John Moores University
Whilst we pride ourselves on being independent from the university we enjoy a close and productive relationship, regularly working in partnership on projects such as our new course representative structure and halls reps scheme and acting as critical friends.
Having undergone a strategic restructure and fundamental governance review, LSU is now best placed to meet the needs of our members and deliver our strategic priorities.
From September 2009 LSU will have 3 student forums focused on delivering a better university, a better union and a better city for students at LJMU. Each forum will be chaired by a student trustee and supported by a sabbatical officer and an LSU staff member. By having dedicated forums for special issues we believe we can engage more of our members, they no longer have to come to one meeting where everything is discussed, they can dip in and out of the forums that can best meet their needs. These forums can then debate and deliver informed campaigns to drive positive change for our members.
We believe the recruitment of quality trustees is vital to our success. If you believeyou have the skills, experience and passion to assist us in achieving our vision we would really like to hear from you.
Please note the deadline for applications has been extended to 4 September
