LJMU Men's Rugby League
The team has experienced increasing success over the past few seasons with achievements such as:
· Winners of the North West student league season 2005-2006.
· Quarter finalists in the National Shield competition 2005-2006.
· Gaining promotion to the premier league of the British University Sports Association (BUSA) student rugby league’s top flight in 2005.
· Premier league runners up season 2006-2007.
· Quarter finalists in the Student British Championships 2006-2007.
With the team experiencing increasing success over the past number of seasons we are hoping to improve further for the forthcoming season 2007-2008. With a team of many talented and skilled individuals we have high aspirations of the direction we, as a team want to head in as we strive for further success.
The seaon2006-2007 the squad consisted of 25 players and the team contains 5 reginal players representing the North-West students competition and 5 International players; 3 players representing Ireland, 1 England and 1 Welsh International.
The tram train twice weekly at Wyncote Sports Ground on a tusdat evening 5-6 and at IM MArsh campus on Sundays 1-3. The team play their games on a wednesday at the Im Marsh campus
