Trip to Krakow

Started in 2005 we have managed to get ourselves established and are currently trying to grow and get some sort of organisation.

Films, fun and foreign trips are the basis of the History Society.  We have a weekly film night in Clarence Street GD01 followed by the post-film discussion in a nearby bar.  We will be organising local outings and next spring there will a trip to krakow in Poland at Easter.  This promises to be fun and imnformatative.  We will have a few excursions but otherwise you will be left to your own devices, and beer costs around 80p  so it promises to be very cheap break.  We also hope to organise a Christmas party to which we will give an open invitation to all.

In 2006/7 we succesfully orgsanised trips to the Williamson Tunnels and Cains Brewery (That right, we managed to organise a pi$$ up in a brewery) We hope to expand on our activities this year.

Membership is a very reasonable £2 which entitles you to free entry to all our film nights as well as a heafty £20 discount from the Krakow trip.
