The Piano Society

 Piano

Is there currently a piano-shaped hole in your student experience? We have a way to fill it! The JMU Student Union (Haigh building) is home to a state-of-the-art Winchester WDP65 digital piano. The piano is housed in a small practice room and by using the headphones provided you can practice to your heart’s content, without disturbing a soul.

Membership of the Society is £5 for the academic year 2008-2009. On joining, you will be issued with a membership card allowing you access to the room key and to book practice slots. Whether you have played the piano for years, or are a beginner and simply want to try something new – this is the ideal opportunity! For those budding filmmakers among you, the digital piano can even be linked to your laptop, allowing you to record your own unique soundtracks.

This resource was made possible courtesy of Dawsons Music Ltd - suppliers of instruments, musical supplies and sheet music, 37 Ranelagh Street, Liverpool and with funding from the School of Media, Critical and Creative Arts.
