Representation
Run by students, for students
Liverpool Students Union (LSU) is here to represent all students studying at Liverpool John Moores whether they be undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time or distance learner. To ensure that the Union always works in the best interest of students, ALL decisions are made by students from the prices in the bar to our position on tuition fees.
How the Union represents you
Executive Committee
Every year a new Executive Committee is elected to represent Liverpool John Moores students. This committee is made up of 12 student officers - 4 of whom take a sabbatical year from their studies and work full time for the Union. This committee is responsible for the day to day running and decision making of the Union but ultimately it is answerable to the student body.

Union Council
The Union Council is the highest decision making body in the Union. They meets several times a year and have the power to make decisions about the running of the Union which the Executive must act upon. They are also able to hold the Executive Committee to account and to make sure that they are doing their job correctly and fairly. Students are elected onto Union Council in the first few weeks of semester one every year.
