o LGBT Rights Officer – David Swinburn: D.Swinburn@2006.ljmu.ac.uk
Hello!!
I'm David, your LGB Rights Officer and President of the LGBT Committee!

If you're lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered; I'm your man!! It's my job to make sure that you are represented fairly during your time at university, regardless of your sexuality. I'll be doing my best to get your voice heard, and to insure that your time at LJMU is a happy one! My office is in The Haigh, and you're always welcome to pop in for a chat or a little bit of friendly advice!
Also, if you'd like to meet other gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered students from both LJMU and LIPA, please feel free to come along to one of our weekly LGBT Committee meetings! They'll be taking place every Thursday at 7.30 in the Sanctuary (that's in the Haigh for all you Freshers!). It's a great place to meet other lgbt people, and a fantastic chance to help make a difference to lgbt life all around the world (through campaigns such as Donation Not Discrimination - a peaceful protest against the fact that it's illegal for us lgbt people to donate blood). We'll also be doing loads of exciting stuff which I will tell you more about nearer the time!!
Anyway, I think that's about it from me for now!
If you'd like more information on anything I've mentioned, please don't hesitate to get in touch!! You can email me on...
Cheers!
