The Equal Opportunities Committee is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the Union's equal opportunities policy.
The Vice-President (Equal Opportunities) is the Committee Chair.
The remit:
a) Subject to the aims and objectives of the Union and the provisions of this Constitution and its supporting Schedules, to oversee implementation of the Union's equal opportunities policies.
b) To oversee the continued development and improvement of the Union's equal opportunities policies.
c) To plan and prepare an annual strategy on implementing the Union's equal opportunities policies.
d) Regularly to review and monitor progress on implementation of the Union's equal opportunities policies.
e) To receive and discuss any minutes of University meetings deemed relevant by the Chair of the Equal Opportunities Committee
The Equal Opportunities Committee meets 3 times per semester. It is made up of Union Council and Executive Members to discuss and impliment Union Equal Opps Policies.
